Mosaics 2A-Using Broken Ceramics (DEC, 2022)
Friday, Dec 9 (Part 1, 9 am-noon) and DEC 16 (Part 2, 9 am-noon).
NOTE: This is likely the last time I'll be teaching this particular class. Therefore, every student receives a (slightly used) set of tools to take home.
Do you appreciate the vibrant colors of pottery, tile, or ceramics, even when they are broken?
In this class, you will create wall art or a trivet using the indirect method with face tape, applying irregular tesserae (broken ceramics, pottery, or tiles) with thinset adhesive.
You learn how to:
- Create a portable mosaic with face tape
- Use irregular tesserae and thinset adhesive
- Use tile nippers and scorers
