TBA or BY SPECIAL REQUEST.
WEEKDAY, MONTH XX (Part 1, 130-430 pm) and MONTH XX (Part 2, 130-430 pm).
Have you created curved and folded substrates but want to move on to three-dimensional shapes like round and rectangular? This class is ONLY for students who have completed Mosaics 4A.
In this class, you create two 3D substrates, one round and one rectangular, using fiberglass mesh over a 3D base with thinset.
You learn to:
- Plan and design a well-balanced substrate that can be successfully mosaicked
- Build a foundational substrate over styrofoam shapes
- Prepare the substrates for mounting and applying tesserae.
STUDENTS BRING: A roll of plastic wrap (like Saran Wrap) and a sheet of 18x24" cardboard.
This class is for advanced mosaic students who have completed Mosaics 4A or a similar class. The instructor will send a reminder email with details in the week before the class.
