Workshop 04: Mosaic THERAPY (SEPT 13, 20, and 27)
Friday a.m., Sept 13 and 20 (9am-noon) and Friday p.m. Sept 27 (3-5pm)
NOTE: This class is for intermediate or advanced mosaic artists: No beginners.
Mosaic artists can be hard on themselves, often driven to perfection at the expense of creativity. In this workshop, the instructor will push mosaic artists to the edge of their comfort zones. You will complete a 9x12 mosaic BUT:
- You will only use the provided pre-cut glass. NO TOOLS ALLOWED.
- You will follow the instructor’s instructions to the letter, no exceptions.
- You will be ready to collaborate and share ideas with classmates.
- You will leave your ideas, personal style, and fear of the unknown AT THE DOOR.
This is not a typical mosaic class. The idea is to move beyond your ‘usual’ modus operandi and potentially find new ways to approach your art. You will leave with a completed mosaic that speaks to you…although, I can’t guarantee that it will speak nicely. However, it WILL speak some truth.
In the first two (morning) sessions, we will create the mosaics. In the third (afternoon) session, we will grout while sipping beverages and snacking!
Instructor provides:
Instruction, handouts, adhesives, all art glass, and substrates.
Students bring:
NOTHING.

Classes taught at Blue Raven Art School (720 E Prince Rd).
Class and workshop registration fees are non-refundable. If you miss class, you can take another of the same value within 3 months of the original one or give it to someone else. However, you need to send me an email to make these changes.
